Mini maple butter and chocolate cones

  • 100 g (3 ½ oz) Freddo milk chocolate chips
  • 12 mini-cones
  • 180 ml (¾ cup) warm maple butter
  • 60 ml (¼ cup) of maple flakes


  1. Drill small holes in the bottom of a cardboard egg container. Return the egg container to use as a support to hold the mini-cones straight-up.
  2. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate chips.
  3. Pour a small amount of melted chocolate into the mini-cones to coat the inner walls. Dip the top of the mini-cones into the melted chocolate. Allow to cool in the egg container.
  4. Spread the maple butter in the mini-cones. Sprinkle with maple flakes. Refrigerate until serving time.
