  • Cocoa powder 45 ml (3 tbsp)
  • Flour 125 ml (1/2 cup)
  • Non-flavored gelatin 1 bag of 7 g
  • Baking Cream 15% 375 ml (1 1/2 Cup)
  • Freddo Milk chocolate chips 150 g (1/3 lb)
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 ml (1/2 Cup) sugar
  • Optional: 1 tbsp. (15 ml) orange peel

  1. Preheat oven to 180 ° C (350 ° F).
  2. Using the electric beater, whisk the eggs with the sugar until the preparation whitens.
  3. In another bowl, mix the cocoa powder with the flour. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the first preparation and stir until a homogeneous preparation is obtained.
  4. Pour into 8 "x 4" (20 cm x 10 cm) bread pan. Bake in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and leave cool. Carefully demold the cake, then put it back into the mold.
  6. In a bowl, mix the gelatin with 60 ml (1/4 Cup) of water. Let it inflate for 5 minutes.
  7. In a saucepan, boil the cream over medium heat. Remove from the fire as soon as it starts to boil. Add the chocolate chips and, if desired, the orange peel. Stir until the chocolate is melted.
  8. Heat the gelatin 15 seconds in the microwave, then add to the melted chocolate. Leave cool.
  9. Pour the preparation into the mould (the cake will rise to the surface). Refrigerate from 3 to 4 hours.
  10. Gently unmold.
